Obituary for Charles Henry Viator Sr.

Charles Henry  Viator Sr.
Viator Sr., Charles Henry age 89 and World War II Veteran On Thursday October 28, 2010. The beloved husband of Alace Dorothy Viator (Dee), devoted father of Deborah Faye Viator and Charles H Viator, Jr.; also Grandfather to Karen Lynn Viator and Charles H. Viator III; also two great-grand sons, Jake Ryan Viator and Derek Riley Viator; also survived by a loving niece Shirley Hursh Boberek and two grandnieces Kris Ann Boberek and Kari Lorence Boberek. Charles attended Gloucester High School in Gloucester, MA until enlisting in the United States Navy where he served until the end of the war and was honorably discharged in January 1946. After his discharge he worked as a pipefitter and retired for the Texaco Eagle Point Plant in Westville. Charles was active in the Wenonah community and served regularly on the Election Board and was a member of the Wenonah Police Reserve. Charles and Dee were active members of the Wenonah United Methodist Church. There will be a Memorial Service at 1 PM on Saturday October 30, 2010 at the Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. There will be a reception for the family and close friends at the Barnsboro Inn 699 Main St. Sewell, NJ. Interment will be at the Wenonah Cemetery it will include a Military Service. Charles was an avid supporter of the United States Navy Memorial in Washington DC and a lover of animals; please send any contributions to the either the Navy Memorial or the Humane Society of New Jersey.
