Obituary for Claude James Daniels

Claude James Daniels, 91, of Mullica Hill, N.J. passed away peacefully on July 3, 2014 in Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, N.J. He was born on December 17, 1922 to Claude Daniels Sr. And Jennie Warner. He grew up in Mantua, N.J. and went to Pitman High School where he played baseball and was the team captain his senior year. After graduating from high school he served in the Navy in World War II. After returning from service, he married Helen Beatrice Kier and they had one daughter, Beatrice Ann. He worked at DuPont in Gibbstown his entire life. After retiring, he and his wife enjoyed traveling. He also really enjoyed working in his yard and garden. He was a loving and kind husband, father and grandfather.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Beatrice Ann Stuart and her husband Lewis of Harrisburg, PA. He will also be lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren, Jane Stuart of Huntington Beach, CA. and Allen Stuart and his wife Christine and their two children, Bryan and Ella of Hershey, PA.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Beatrice Daniels and his grandson Paul Stuart.
Visitation with the family will be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday July 19th, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church 284 Cedar Rd., Mullica Hill, N.J. 08062. Memorial Service will also be at Trinity Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m.
Interment with military honors will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery.
