Dawn was my legal assistant at the Volpe and Koenig law firm for several years, and a friend for much longer. We came to the firm around the same time, and her station happened to be right outside my office. We quickly discovered we had similar senses of humor and laughed together a lot over the years. Even before she was my assistant she was watching out for me. One memory looms large. I was under pressure to get something done and my computer was not cooperating. Apparently she heard me swearing at the machine and knew how upset I was. As I stared at the screen I was vaguely aware of her presence in my office for a split second. When I finally allowed myself to take my eyes off the screen, there, on my desk, were two Dove dark chocolate squares! I burst out laughing and immediately went to thank her - my frustrations vanished. I was deeply saddened to hear of her illness. I feel lucky that I was able to share lunch with her several times, the last time at one of her favorite New Jersey restaurants last Fall, along with her mother Jane and my wife Sylvia. With some hesitation, due to the early concerns over the coronavirus, we planned to meet in Center City for lunch on Friday, March 13, 2020. She texted me that morning, cancelling the lunch because she wasn't feeling well. Later that day the shutdown began and all of our worlds changed completely. I'm sorry I missed her funeral; I wish I could have attended. I miss her dearly. My deepest sympathies go to her mother Jane, and to Dan. Mitch Hirsch

We worked together for many years, and I was blessed to become your friend. I will never forget you and your feisty and fun loving spirit. You were a loyal and protective friend, and I will be forever grateful for your friendship. I will treasure always the memories of the great times we shared. Rest in peace, dear friend. This world will surely be less bright without you in it, but your sparkle will continue to shine in the hearts and minds of all those whose lives you touched. Thank you for being my friend.

My sweet Cousin Dawn, we used to always get in trouble growing up. We always laughed at the stupid things we did. Now, I am lost without you. You were so special to me. I had so much fun when I came to NJ for a visit. We spent pretty much 24/7 together. I will miss you, I already do. Aunt Jane, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Dawn will be deeply missed.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dawn. I haven't seen her in so long. Had a great time always with her when we were in high school specifically working in Philadelphia and car pooling. That green Chevy I believe it was. LOL Thoughts and prayers to the family. She was one of kind!
