Donald J. Gill Jr. age 65, of Woodbury suddenly passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Born in Cohoes, NY he grew up in Troy, NY, and served in the US Coast Guard from 1968 to 1975 during the Vietnam War. Don earned a Distinguished Service Medal for his service during the Vietnam War. He was a past member of the Wenonah Lions Club and has been a member of the Westville Lions Club for the last 34 years. Currently he served veterans as a Veterans Advocate and Service Officer for Abilities Solutions in Westville, NJ.

Husband of Marion Lorraine "Lory" Gill (nee Day), he is survived by his daughter, Lory Ann Roberts and her husband, Thadd of Mantua, two grandsons, Nathan & Chase. He is also survived his brother, Shawn and his wife Cheryl, his sisters, Lorrie & her husband Dean, Patty & her husband Rick, Shay & her husband Gary, Donna, Michelle & her husband Walter, and Judy & her husband Tom. Don was predeceased by his mother Sarah (nee Rafter), and his sister Jackie.

Family and friends may visit from 5:30 to 8:30 PM Friday, July 31, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 8:30 PM. Burial with military honors will be at the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ on Saturday August 1st at 1 PM.
