My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I had the privilege of working with Don at General Motors during a very busy time in the 1980's, and my memories are of a talented, enthusiastic, non-stop engineer who served as a positive role model for the many younger employees that he helped mold and mentor. He was a true gentleman who cared about people and a professional who could be relied upon for "doing it right." His legacy continues in the careers of literally dozens he influenced, a wonderful tribute to a wonderful person. He will be missed.

I want to express my sincere caring to you and your family during this difficult time. Don was a great person and then a great engineer. He always found a way to get the job done and at the same time be a consultant & mentor for others. Don always remained busy, task oriented and never slowed down! His work ethic was something to behold and he set a great example for others to follow. He was also a sensitive person, always expressing his opinion on "people" issues and truly caring for others. He was a super guy and it was an honor to work with him at General Motors.

So sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We often saw him at the cemetery when we were there visiting Billy's grave. We were always so appreciative that he took the time to trim and clean around his grave and made it look so nice. Sorry we are away in Florida and not able to attend his service.
