Obituary for Doris Swain Eisenhart

Doris Swain Eisenhart
Doris (Swain) Eisenhart of Sewell, NJ died peacefully in her home on Monday, February 4th, after a full 83 years of life.
Born in Camden, NJ, and raised in Mt. Ephraim, NJ, she was a graduate of Audubon High School.

Doris was married to the love of her life, Rev. George Eisenhart, II for 66 years. Theirs was a true love story and their bond together was unbreakable. She was a devoted mother to her 11 children: Karen (Gary Wirtz), Erich (Joanne) Eisenhart, Karol (Stephen Dougherty), George (Lucille) Eisenhart, Karl Eisenhart, Paul (Kim) Eisenhart, Daniel (Diane) Eisenhart, Doris (Bill Cioffi), Elizabeth (Edward Selb), Andrew (Amy) Eisenhart, and Lance (Lauren) Eisenhart. Doris was also the proud and loving “Grammy” to 38 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. She was a beloved sister to her brother George “Bud” (Joan) Swain. Doris was truly the matriarch of the Eisenhart clan and undeniably the glue that bound them together. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whether at a large family gathering around the holidays or over a simple cup of tea at the kitchen table.

Not only a wonderful wife and mother, Doris was an astute businesswoman as well, serving as President of the family business for many years. She proudly served in ministry alongside her husband for 40+ years; Doris was the co-founder of Lambs Road Assembly, where she tirelessly worked beside her husband building the Cathedral and ministering to others. Her depth and wisdom impacted the lives of those around her and her legacy will be long lasting.

Doris’s life is truly a testimony of serving others and serving the Lord.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Proverbs 31: 28
