Doris M. Gaunt, age 92, of Mullica Hill, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015. Doris was born in Mullica Hill, grew up in Barnsboro and was a graduate of Pitman High School Class of 1940. She was a charter member of the Mullica Hill Woman’s Club, member of the Auxiliary of Robert W. Mills American Legion Post #452, and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Doris was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed spending her summers in Ocean City, NJ. Doris is survived by her two daughters Lois (Jim) Laning of Mullica Hill and Marion Maccherone of Mantua. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chris (Kristen) Laning of Elkton (Maryland), Jason (Donna) Laning of Glassboro, Amy Maccherone of New Orleans, Tom Maccherone of Mullica Hill, and great-grandchildren Jamie, Paige, Kylee, Jon, Kendall, and Cadey. Doris is predeceased by her parents, Anna and Russell Carré and her brother Walter Carré. Family and friends are invited to visit from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, October 15th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am.
