Obituary for Doris M. Shiles (Nash)
Doris M. Shiles (nee Nash) age 92, of Mullica Hill passed peacefully Friday, December 1, 2023, at Mullica Gardens Assisted Living. Doris was retired as the former owner/operator of the Hilltop Restaurant in Mullica Hill. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris had fond memories of her time spent in Ft. Myers/Sanibel Island collecting shells, going to her family home in Ocean City to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the beach, traveling with her late husband, knitting hats for newborns, and being involved with the Active Adults group of Harrison Twp.
Doris is survived by her children, Maurice Shiles and his wife Karen, Catherine Richman and her husband Herb, Patricia Dutka and her husband William, Julia Wray and her husband William and daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Shiles; her grandchildren, Dallas, Catherine, Michael, Danielle, Erica, William, Stacy, Kristen; her great grandchildren, Noah, Beverly, Scott, Samuel, Ava, Lilly, Logan, Natalia, Juliana, Emma, and Andrew. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice D. Shiles, Sr., son Michael D. Shiles and sister, Jean Pierson.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051 and Friday, December 8, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am, with burial to follow at Pittsgrove Presbyterian Cemetery in Pittsgrove, New Jersey.
