Eleanor Alba Balian age 93, of Mantua passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Born in Revere, MA, she worked at First National Bank of Mantua, instructed and loved ballroom dancing, was a former member of the Eastern Star-Pitman, NJ Chapter, and was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Wenonah, NJ where she served as an Altar Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Shahan "Doc" Balian, her son, Harry & his wife Elizabeth of Pittsgrove, NJ, her daughter, Jean Thomas & her husband Eric of Pittsburgh, PA, 4 grandchildren, Emily & Haley Thomas, and Alexandria & Jennifer Balian, and her brother, Joseph Brignolo. Eleanor was predeceased by her sisters, Aurora Bifano & Rose Labianca, and two brothers, Matt & Pat Brignolo.

Family & friends may visit on Sunday, March 20th from 6 to 8 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 N. Monroe Ave., Wenonah, NJ on Monday, March 21st at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 N.
