Marion Fay Bradley of Hampstead, NC, died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage on February 9, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.   She was 78 years old.  Fay was born June 4, 1931 in Woodbury, NJ, the daughter of the late Carl and Anne Shewell Leisy.  Her brother, Carl Robert Leisy preceded her in death.  She was raised in Mantua, New Jersey, graduated from Pitman High School and was a long-time employee with the National Bank of Mantua.  After moving with her family to Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1978, Fay was an employee with Wachovia Bank and Trust and quite active in the local garden club.  At the time of her death, she resided in the coastal town of Hampstead, North Carolina.  Among Fay’s interests were flower and landscape design and a deep abiding love of nature and animals.  Through dedicated study and practice, she eventually achieved the level of Landscape Design Critic as well as Master Judge of Flower Shows with the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc.  Fay was active as a volunteer in her community and donated her time at the Hampstead Food Basket and the Louise Wells Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington, North Carolina.  An active member of the Olde Point Ladies Golf Association, she was frequently seen on the golf course enjoying fun times and good golf with her many friends.  Fay was a past and current member of the Fayetteville Museum of Art, the Louise Wells Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, Friends of Airlie Gardens, and the United States Golf Association.  She was a lifetime member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs and a long-time supporter of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.  Fay was a dedicated Duke Blue Devils basketball fan.  Family and friends will miss Fay’s creativity, sense of style, and compassion for nature.  Surviving is her husband and companion of over fifty-years, Charles L. Bradley of Hampstead, NC; her son, C. Christopher Bradley of Woodbury, NJ; two daughters, Kathleen A. Bradley of Hope Mills, NC and Suzanne F. Feld, Lt. Col., USAF, NC (Ret.) of Albuquerque, NM; and her sister, Judith L.
