Obituary for Gary A. Myers

Gary A. Myers age 68, of Wenonah, NJ passed away Tuesday June 24th, 2014. He was a devoted husband, loving and caring father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Admired by all, Gary was a kind and very generous man with a warm heart. He enjoyed providing special times with his family. Whether it was going out to dinner, an outdoor hike, or a family vacation, he took great pleasure in watching his family enjoy themselves. Gary served several communities for 32 years as a public school administrator. He worked in Uniontown, PA, Pitman, NJ, Lower Alloway Creek, NJ, and Pemberton, NJ. He had a gift of a beautiful voice and shared this with various church choirs throughout his life, The most recent was Holy Trinity in Wenonah, NJ. Gary also performed with both the Philadelphia Choral Arts Society as well as the Choral Arts Society of Southern New Jersey. He was a great lover of the outdoors, avid hiker, enjoyed canoeing, playing tennis, raking leaves, and a never ending list of outdoor projects.

Gary is survived by his wife, Barb Campbell-Myers, three children, Heidi Ann Suydam and her husband Jeff, Derek Alan Myers and his wife Shelly, and Patrick Campbell Myers, two grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Suydam and Blake Alan Myers, two sisters, Marcia Bonta and her husband Bruce, Linda Albright and her husband Bob, his brother Hal Myers and his wife Anne, and many nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 28th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 N. Monroe Ave. Wenonah, NJ where a service will be held at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution to The Nature Conservancy.
