Obituary for George Lonabaugh

George Lonabaugh
George Lonabaugh, age 60, of Gloucester City formerly of North East Philadelphia passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Born in Camden, he served in the United States Marine Corps. George met the love of his life, Paulette, 37 years ago, and they were married on July 23, 1988. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan and season ticket holder. George enjoyed traveling, shooting darts with his dear friends, Outlaw Country Music, musical artists such as the Grateful Dead, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings and relaxing with his wife and his beloved dog Bella at their river lot in upstate Pennsylvania. George would often spoil his nieces and nephews, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Paulette (Lamb), his brothers, James Barkman, Edward Lonabaugh, and Warren Lonabaugh, his sister, Sarah Lonabaugh, and many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his sister, Mary Walters, and brother Robert Lonabaugh. He was loved by his sisters-in-law Dawn Lamb, Tracy Lamb, Kristina Jones, Heather McCurry and brothers-in-law Todd Earnest, Joe Jones, and Neil McCurry. He will be missed by his longtime buddy Ruth Chiro and her husband Mark and his QCEDL dart team members.

Family and Friends may visit from 12 pm to 2 pm on Saturday, August 25th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lake Park Cemetery in Swedesboro, NJ.
