Glenn Edwards  Calhoun

Glenn Edwards Calhoun age 75, of Wenonah passed Friday, February 16, 2024. Glenn retired from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Hussian School of Art where he worked as an Art Professor. Glenn was a lifelong artist, practicing Fine Art, Illustration, and painting. Glenn was born in Mattie, PA and attended Everett High School. His career took him to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia where he met his wife, Cindy, of 40 years. 

Glenn and Cindy fell in love during a rainy vacation in Hawaii where they got pac-man elbow. After the birth of their son, Sam, they moved to the community of Wenonah where they have lived for the last 30 years. He loved his son, cars, yard work, international travel, and shared a special love for his dog, Cooper.  In the last few years, Glenn worked as a substitute teacher at Greenfield's Elementary school, where he got to share his passion for Art with the children. Glenn is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Calhoun (nee Coar), son Samuel Calhoun and his wife Caroline, and brother Garry Calhoun (Mary Ann).

Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to visit on Saturday March 2, 2024, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 3, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm at Riverwinds Restaurant (1075 Riverwinds Dr, West Deptford, NJ 08086). Interment to be private at Wenonah Cemetery in Mantua, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231 or by clicking here.
