The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Harriet Stettnisch can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Memories of my Grandmom

My earliest memories in life are of playing at Grandmom and Grandpop’s yard, on the swing set and climbing trees.  We had sleepovers where we played poker and ate ice cream late into the night – she was always so much fun!  As I grew older she was always there for me and telling me I could achieve anything I went after.  She was one of the most reliable people in my life – for being at dance recitals, basketball games, track meets, graduation day up until my wedding and giving me some recent pregnancy advice – she was always there and full of words of wisdom.  One of my favorite memories is Christmas when I was about 7 years old, her holding me up on my stilts, telling me I could do it.  I still take pride in being one of the best stilt walkers around thanks to her!  Although she will not be here in person to meet my baby, she will be in my heart.  I know that she is watching over us from heaven – and I hope that my child inherits some of her traits – her sense of humor, her thoughtfulness, and the way she loved and cared for her family.  With love always, Sandra
