James M. Beck Jr. age 72, of Woodbury passed peacefully Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was employed with Woodbury City as a Water Treatment Operator and was a member of the SAL of American Legion Post 133.
James enjoyed spending his time fishing, reading and making wooden yard decorations, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

James is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley (nee McCormick), his children Shirley Schickel and husband Bill, April Perri and husband John, Donna Beck, Theresa Beck, and James M. Beck III. Grandchildren, Ian Nachman (Mellisa), Justin, Nancy, Ashley, James Charles, Allison Nicole, Brianna, Parker, Rowen, and Eli. Great grandchildren Javon (J), Adyen, Hayleigh, Cora, and Jayden. He is also survived by his siblings, Howard Beck, Jack Beck, and Grace Olinda. He was predeceased by his grandson Billy and his parents, James and Sadie.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm. Final disposition to be private.
