Obituary for James F. Blumenstein

James F. Blumenstein, age 87 of Deptford Twp., passed away Monday, January 28th, 2013.
Born in Woodbury, he grew up in Westville and served in the Navy during World War II. Jim retired from the Philadelphia Navy Yard where he was a machinist. After retirement he worked for Garlock Bearings in West Deptford. He was always upbeat, had a good sense of humor, loved animals, and was very charitable. Jim was a member of the Brooklawn American Legion Post #72.

He is survived by his loving companion of 12 years, Julia Tighe of Woodbury, his stepson Curt Stickel of DE, 3 nephews, Richard Donaldson, Bruce Donaldson & Bud Clark, and his niece, Elizabeth Fox.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with military honors at the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, 240 S. Tuckahoe Road, Monroe Township, NJ at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Contributions in Jim's memory may be made to Animal Welfare Assoc., 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043.
