Obituary for James Joseph "Jimmy" Marks

James Joseph "Jimmy"  Marks
James J. “Jimmy” Marks died peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 26, 2020 at the age of 65 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of thirty years, Michele Browning Marks; children, Jamie Marks, Michael Marks (Nichole Colosi) and Katie Tindall (Brian); grandkids, Jacob, Mason, Jackson and Stella; siblings, Michele Marks, Bobby Marks and John “Jackie” Marks (Cindy). He is preceded in death by his mother Dolores C. Marks.
Jim was born on 04/24/1954 in Camden, NJ to Dolores Marks. He attended Haddon Heights High School. He married Michele in 1989. Jimmy began working for Herr Food Inc. as a route salesman in 1983. Along his route he became a friend to many. Jimmy retired from Herr’s in 2018 after 35 years of service.
Jimmy was an active member of the St. Matthew’s Fathers Club and longtime member of the Rolling Fossils Motorcycle Club, and loved riding his Harley with his wife and friends. He was the life of the party and was always the last to leave. Jimmy was an incredible husband, father, pop-pop, brother, uncle, cousin and a friend to all who knew him.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051 and Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's Church 64 Cooper Street Woodbury, New Jersey 08096. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's Church 64 Cooper Street Woodbury, New Jersey 08096. Final Disposition to be private.
