Obituary for Jean S. Geston

Jean S.  Geston
Jean S. Geston (nee Sarraiocco) age 96, of Wenonah passed peacefully Monday, February 5, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Jean was a resident of Wenonah for 70 years. A graduate of Paulsboro High School Class of 1945 and West Jersey Hospital in 1946, she retired as a medical technician in 1997. She enjoyed spending her time as a longtime member of Church of the Incarnation, where she was active with the Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters, and Incarnation senior citizens. She also enjoyed her time with American Legion 192 Auxiliary, Women's Club of Wenonah (life member), Charter member of Wenonah Fire Co. Auxiliary, and DAV Auxiliary.

Jean is survived by her children, David T. Geston and his wife, Jeryl of Wenonah, and daughter, Lorraine Russell of Mt. Ephraim. She was predeceased by husband, Charles Geston, and her brothers, Peter Sarraiocco and David Sarraiocco, who was killed in WWII. 

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 8:30am to 10:30am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Church Of The Incarnation 240 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Burial will be private.

Special appreciation to her friend, Debbie and her home care aides, Shona and Jackie who took wonderful care of her, as well as the county Serv-A-tray program.
