Joan Alice Cheesman (Kernan)
Joan A. Cheesman (nee Kernan) age 80, of Ocean City, formerly of Stratford, passed away April 18th, 2014 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse. Joan was formerly employed with Lindenwold School District as a Secretary to the Principal. Joan Is wife of the late Joseph Cheesman Jr., she is survived by her children Karen (Dennis) Oliver, Joseph (Beverly) Cheesman 3rd, and Joyce (David) Armand, 6 grandchildren Allison Baker (Greg), Emily Cheesman, Jake Cheesman, Benjamin Oliver, Timothy Oliver, and Lauren Oliver. She is also survived by her sister Laura Sacher. Predeceased by sister Pat Deuel. Family and friends are invited to visit from 6 to 7 Friday April 25th, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Memorial Service will be held at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harvard Brain Tissue Research Center -- McLean Hospital 115 Mill Street Mail stop 138 Belmont, MA 02478.
