John Abramovich Sr., age 78 of Runnemede, died Friday, Feb. 11th, 2011 at home.  Born in Cambria County, PA, he proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. A resident of Runnemede since 1965, he worked as a procurement officer & supervisor for the US Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, NJ. John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Runnemede and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5211 in Vintondale, PA.  John adored his wife and loved to travel with her.  He especially loved his children, grandchildren and their families. Husband of Anna (nee Ernst), he is survived by his two daughters, Marie Dirkes and her husband Chet, Teresa Meyers and her husband Tony, his son, John Abramovich Jr. and his wife Dasia, grandchildren, Sarah Wagner and her husband Andrew, Al Dirkes and his fiancée Jenn Murtha and Matthew Meyers.  John was predeceased by his sisters, Stella and Annie Kuhar. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2011 from 10-11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 E. Clements Bridge Rd., Runnemede where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM.  As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church at the above address.
