Obituary for Joyce E. McIlvaine
Joyce McIlvaine, age 68, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born in Woodbury to the late James Robert Jolley and Naomi (nee Townsend), she was raised in Mickleton, NJ. Joyce graduated from Kingsway High School Class of 1973 and earned her bachelor's degree in education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University). She retired from South Harrison Public Schools where she was a teacher for 30 years. Joyce was an animal lover and enjoyed her pets.
She is survived by her brother, Richard J. Knestaut, numerous nieces & nephews, and her dear friend, Sue Bennett. Joyce was predeceased by her brother, Ronald and her sister, Ruth Ann.
Relatives and Friends may visit from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm. Interment will be at Eglington Cemetery at a later time. Memories & condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com.
