The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Larry Zane can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

"Uncle Larry", as my kids called him, was bigger than life. I have known him since 1975, when my late husband Jeff introduced us. I remember the Christmas tree farm, the swan andirons, the big circular inner tube in the lake. The beer, the laughs. The coming down to FL. Jeff and I took the train down to Lighthouse Point. His dad, Big Bob, told his captain to take us deep sea fishing; Jeffry was only four or five. We didn't catch a thing, but it surely was fun. I think I just saw some of those old photos a month or so ago. Bill Gallagher, Tom Mutton, Jeff Mulrain - all good buddies. And, Mark Mulrain and Larry Zane, get outta the way Crazy times, but fun times. Larry always wanted to be in Florida with a beer and seafood place on the water. I wish he would have done that. He loved Leslie and Brad; I didn't know any of the grands. Larry and Peggy. Larry and Kate. But, there was always Larry - he was there by my side to help when my Jeff was dying. He was there the moment he did, too. He was always just a phone call away. I think we talked this past Christmas? I can't remember now. It all melds together. He loved life to the fullest, always loved his family and friends. I will miss those phone calls. I can still hear his voice. I/we wish I/we could have been there when he needed us. These past months - from what I hear, it makes me very, very sad. But, onward we all must and will go. I just can't imagine the party Jeff and Mark Mulrain are having with Larry upstairs! Our love goes out to the family and grandkids. I knew him over 40 years, and that's a long time. I wish him peace.
