Leonard T. McCarron Sr., age 80, of Sewell passed Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He retired from Asbestos Workers Union Local 14 as a Pipe Insulator. Leonard enjoyed spending his time as a member of South Philly String Band and Sterling String Band. He loved the Philadelphia Phillies and spent 20 years as an usher at spring training. Leonard cherished his time spent with his family.  

Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 60 yrs., Barbara McCarron (nee Kline), his children Leonard Jr. and wife Susan, Barbara Ann and husband Dale Mihlebach, Diane and husband Bobby Brady, Sean and wife Kathleen McCarron, and Danny and wife Sherri McCarron. Also, by thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren, as well as by his sister AnnaMae Drumm, and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Donald C. McCarron. 

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051 and Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 9:30am to 10:45am at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
