Mary V.  Sweeney (Olinsky)

Mary V. Sweeney, age 94, of “Oak Valley” Deptford Twp., NJ passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.  She lived at Brightview Senior Living in Woodbury, NJ for the past 7 years.  Born in Philadelphia to the late Vincent Olinsky and Anna (nee Napiorkowska), she grew up in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.  In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and raising her family.  Mary loved trips to the Jersey Shore, especially Ocean City and Cape May.   She enjoyed  trips to Lancaster and Storybook Land with her grandchildren.  Most of all, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as dining out and shopping. 

Wife of the late Joseph David Sweeney, she is survived by two sons, Joseph Sweeney & his wife Kathleen, and Daniel Sweeney; her daughter, Kathleen Ryan and her husband, James; grandchildren, Daniel Sweeney (Ashley), John Sweeney (Adrienne), Heather Matkowsky (Ryan), Allison Letterle (Ken), Katie Sweeney, Meghan Sweeney (John), Mariel Ryan, and Julia Ryan; Great grandchildren, Dylan Greenland, Nathan Lukasiewicz, Savannah Sweeney, Liam Matkowsky, Anna Matkowsky, and Noah Matkowsky.  Mary was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Debbie Sweeney, and her sister, Victoria and her brothers, Edward, Henry and Franklin.

Family & friends may visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am onThursday, April 25th, at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's Church, Third and Beech Streets, Woodbury Heights, NJ where a funeral Mass will be held at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ.  As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to Love Without Boundaries, PO Box 1861, Lowell, Arkansas 72745 or online by clicking here.  Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com.
