Missy touched our hearts in a vey special way. She was so brave to endure all the suffering she went through all of her life. Through it all she had a family that loved her more then you could ever imagine. My brother and my sister in law were there for her through the good times along with the bad. They helped make Missy's life as normal and wonderful as they possible could. In the short time that Missy was here with us, she knew that she was loved... and she had much love to give to us as well. She had a big brother who she adored, and a sister that she needed in her life at all times. Missy was the bond... the corner stone... the true definition of what a family should be. She will live on through all of our hearts... She has touched our lives in so many way... We will miss her and our hearts will be very heavy for the rest of our lives. But she is no longer suffering... She in am Angel in heaven. I will continue to keep all of my family in my daily prayers. God Bless Melissa Ann.... I'll see you.... when I see you... Missy always was and still is so special to all of our family. She was born on April 14th 1978. She had special qualities and always radiated a smile. I never heard her complain even when she may have had reason to at times. Thank you Missy for all the love our family shared because of you. We will always treasure our memories. Love forever, Nana.

If any of us are lucky enough to leave these three things as our legacy life, we will have succeeded. Missy was very successful in sharing these gifts with all who knew her.
We know that Missy will not be challenged in Heaven. Her smile, her kindness and the love in her heart will be cherished throughout eternity. The example she set for us is that no matter how difficult our disabilities and challenges are, as long as we maintain the ability to smile, to truly be generous of heart and to love, then we will have succeeded in this life.
