Obituary for Mona M. Sallom (Mendez)
Mona M. Sallom (nee Mendez) age 53, of West Deptford passed Sunday, January 14, 2024, with her family by her side. Mona worked in various positions over the years with banking being her primary field. She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband in their younger years, doing crossword puzzles, spending time in Ocean City NJ, as well as quiet time with her daughter watching their favorite TV shows throughout the week, going with her son to various sporting events and spending time with their family dog, Tucker. Over the past seven plus years, despite the trials she encountered, she never once complained about anything, and always had a smile on her face.
Mona is survived by her loving husband, Ronald W. Sallom Jr. "Ron", her children, daughter Talia Sallom and son Nick Sallom. Also, by her siblings, Tony Mendez, Cynthia Olivarez, Christine Patterson, and Mendi R. Mendez. Nieces and nephews, Dominique Mendez, Daniel Hoyt, Chase Patterson, Anthony Gorman, and Dana Krop, and by her mother-in-law, Rosemary Diane Baltadonis. Predeceased by her parents Carlos and Elisa Mendez, brothers, Tommy, and Mark Mendez and stepfather-in-law, Joseph Baltadonis.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm, final disposition to be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online by clicking here.
