Obituary for Patricia S. McKnight (Verrier)

Patricia S. McKnight (Verrier)
Patricia S. McKnight, age 61, of National Park, NJ went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2023 in hospice care surrounded by loved ones.

Patti was born in 1962 in Maine to Carole and Roger Verrier. She graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine. She married Mark W. McKnight and had multiple occupations, one being a successful hairdresser.

While she balanced work life she would often take her kids and their friends to the beaches, water parks, skating, and on multiple vacations including Maine and Florida. She loved being a mom and spending time with her two daughters.

Patti had many interests and talents including singing karaoke, riding her motorcycle, gardening, using her creative side to work on many projects in and around her home and being the life of the party. She had a special place in her heart for animals and was the kind of person to give rather than receive. She had the biggest personality and the loudest laugh in the room, and will forever be remembered for her love and kindness towards others.

Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Mark W. McKnight as well as her mother, Carole Verrier. She is survived by her two children, Sarah and Rachel McKnight; her father, Roger Verrier; her siblings, Michael Verrier, Catherine Verrier, Sharon Blakeslee; and her beloved partner, Robert Fink, along with many other family and friends.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6 pm to 8 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08081 on Tuesday November 21st.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 22nd, at St. Matthew’s Church, Monument Ave & N. 4th Street in National Park.  Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro. As an expression of sympathy, flowers may be sent to Smith Funeral Home at the address above.  Memories & condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
