Obituary for Tricia V. Silva

Tricia V. Silva
Patricia V. Silva (nee Campbell) of Wayne, PA, born on April 5, 1958, peacefully passed on February 27, 2024, under the sensitive care of Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital. Tricia could light up any gathering with her charm, smile, humor, and silliness. Even in her final days, Tricia shared her wonderful sense of humor with her family and hospital caregivers.

Tricia’s career soared from her very first position. Her sister, Terry, hired and fired Tricia the first day – a story which the two enjoyed sharing over many years. Later, Tricia worked for Columbia Records’ pressing plant in Pitman before moving on to Household Finance and Checkpoint Systems. Convinced by her boyfriend to move to Chicago for his work, Tricia was an assistant sales manager at a publishing company where she ran the office and charmed the staff. A stop in Los Angeles gave Tricia the opportunity to enjoy Manhattan Beach. Finally, Tricia excelled for 22 years at Pfizer, where top managers with multiple degrees took direction from the “Best Dressed at Gateway High” before illness struck. Tricia was an incredible cook; she appreciated great music; she loved walking in cities, in parks, on beaches and in nature; she absolutely loved her sisters and her cat, Amadeus; and she adored her husband who penned this. As all who knew her said, “To know Tricia is to love Tricia.” Tricia’s final act of kindness was giving to The Gift of Life organ and tissue center.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband and soulmate, George Silva; her four cherished sisters, Cathy Skalamera, Liz Seville, Diana D'Alessandro, and Terry Neptune; her goddaughter, Lauren Amin; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Catherine Campbell, and brother Jack Campbell.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, Monday March 4, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. A time for sharing your fondest memories or a loving thought will be held at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Patricia's memory to Philabundance, 3616 S. Galloway St., Philadelphia, PA 19148 or Click here to donate online.

Patricia's warm presence, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones and community will be dearly missed. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
