Obituary for Raymond E. Gallagher

Raymond E.  Gallagher
Raymond E. Gallagher age 74, of Mantua passed away Monday, February 11, 2019. Born at home in Mantua Heights, he was the son of the late John Gallagher and Madeline (Castine). Ray was a graduate of Clearview Regional High School Class of 1964. He served in the US Army Airborne during the Vietnam War. Ray was a Union Carpenter, and was a member of the VFW Larson-Cox Post 7679 in Mantua, and the Verga Hunt Club. He loved spending time at his cabin in Indian Lake, NY, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and turtle hunting. Ray took his time making grave blankets for his family members, but most all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ray is survived by his wife Marlene (Reuss), children, Perry Davis (Melissa), Michael Davis (Kathy), Woody Gallagher, Jr. (Peggy), Glenn Holden (Bridget), Richie Gallagher and Mary Madgey (Bill), 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his buddy, Bill Walters.

Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 11 am on Friday, February 15th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, where a Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held at 11 am.
