Rita Owen (nee Goldey) age 68, of West Deptford passed peacefully Friday, March 17, 2023, at home surrounded by family. She formerly worked as a secretary with West Deptford High School as well as being a lifelong homemaker to her family. Rita enjoyed spending her time going on vacations, fishing, enjoying the beach, and had a knack for couponing, but mostly Rita enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren with love.

Rita is survived by her loving husband Michael B. Owen; her children Michael B. Owen Jr. (Blane), Mark J. Owen (Lindsey), Elizabeth A. McGill (Steve); four grandchildren Melinda, Owen, Quinn, and Paige, her loving sister Cathy, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Arnold and Jackie. A special thank you to her nurse nieces, Michele and Helen, who helped us the last few months.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 8:30am to 10:30am on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am at Church Of The Incarnation 240 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051, with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
