Steven W. Jackmuff 65, of West Deptford passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Born in Huntington, NY, Steve moved to West Deptford, NJ in pursuit of what turned out to be a successful career in healthcare administration. It was in New Jersey where he met wife Cindy and built a full life revolving around his sons and family. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his sons, and watching them grow into caring husbands and homeowners-giving him an opportunity to carefully manicure two more lawns. He always looked for ways to help out and “fix” things, often leaving them in even more need of repair than before he started, but marked by his distinctive effort. Steve loved to spend time in Ocean City, NJ, always followed closely by best friend and yellow lab, Marley. He was happiest enjoying a warm summer day surrounded by loved ones.
Steve is survived by wife, Cindy (nee Simcox), and two sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and his wife Molly, grandson Lucas, Cory and his wife Kim, and soon a granddaughter. Also survived by his best friend Marley. Predeceased by son Jarrett.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church, 19 South Broad Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096, with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
