Although I never had the pleasure of meeting this extraordinary woman, what I have read here in these tributes to her more than exemplify the wonderful person she must have been to so many. What I have had the pleasure of, and hope to spend more time getting to know, is Skylar, who is dating my son. She seems to be just like her mom from what I have observed on several occasions. She is a sweet wonderful girl who is making her mom proud by living her life with a true Christian example.

Brian, My heart goes out to you and your family. I was stunned to say the least and heartbroken for you and your children to learn of the passing of Wendy. I had the privilege of knowing her through you, scrapbooking with her and Jill, and seeing her at the Gateway football games. A beam of shining light - always with a smile on her face. And even though I don't know your children as well, I can see from this past week that your daughter is just like her - strong, take-charge, helpful, loving....I know the list is longer than that.
