I just remembered two things that Mr. Chambers said: 1.) In 1972, after being inducted in Honor Society at Clearview, he said to Judy and our group of friends as we displayed our brand new Clearview class rings, "ah, so you're 'big men on campus,' now." He said it with a smile, and his statement seemed to put things in quick perspective, somehow. 2.) In 1972 or 1973, when someone exclaimed to him that I was "Mr. Culbert's (CRHS Band Director's) daughter, he was quiet for a second and then said with a smile, "No she's not, she's her own person." I thought it was a rather insightful and unique response.

To the Chambers Family, How is it that time could have passed by so very quickly since first meeting Judy when I was in 9th grade, or teaching Toni piano lessons, or having pleasant visits with other classmates while being welcomed by your parents at the Chambers home? I remember well Mr. Chambers' love of golf and quick wit as well as Mrs. Chambers' warm and friendly hospitality. Prayers and special blessings are sent to each family member as you go through this time and season. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Much Love In Jesus, Peggy Culbert Dougherty
