Obituary for William Jefferson Shaw

William J. Shaw IV age 89, passed away Saturday, July 12th, 2014. He served in the Army during World War ll and was a resident of Mantua Township since 1954. Mr. Shaw and his wife owned and operated William J. Shaw Inc. providing fuel oil and service. He was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #197 F. & A.M. for over 52 years. Bill along with many generations of the Shaw family have enjoyed Lake Garrison in Monroeville.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Catherine G. (nee Mannino), his daughter Catherine Patricia Licht and her husband Wolfgang, his son William J. Shaw V and his wife Nancy, 4 grandchildren Lisa Wilson, Lawrence Licht, William J. Shaw VI, Bruce D. Shaw, 3 great grand children, his sister Marilyn Segl, and several nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11am Friday, July 18th at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. A Masonic Service will be held at 9:15 AM and a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hurffville.
