Andrew J "Bud/Andy"  Moore Jr.
Andrew "Bud" Moore, age 71 of West Deptford, NJ, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 having fought a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in Barnsboro, NJ and graduated from Pitman H.S. Class of 1962. Bud and his family lived in West Deptford for 24 years. In 2008, he retired from Kling-Stubbins Engineering in Philadelphia. Bud was an avid Philly sports fan & he particularly enjoyed participating in the men's golf league at the Pitman Golf Course.

He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Gail M. (nee Shaw) who were married in June of 1965. He was also the devoted father of Denise (Stephen) Steinhauser and Major Drew (Theresa) Moore. Grandfather (Pop-Pop) to Kelsey & Lacey Steinhauser, and Shaylee & Andrew Moore, and brother to Margaret A. (Robert) Glass., eight nieces & nephews, fourteen great nieces & nephews, and one great-great nephew & one great-great niece. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew J. and Margaret A., his brother Walter, and an infant son.

Bud was known for his green thumb & amazing garden resulting in "dill" pickles that everyone requested. Containers seemed to always return desiring a refill. He liked spending time at the shore with Denise, Kelsey, and Lacey. He enjoyed traveling including visits to his son at nearly every location Drew was stationed as well as several wonderful cruises.

Family & friends may visit from 9 to 11 AM, Friday, April 10th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will be at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Lung Assoc. of NJ, 3001 Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011, Fellowship Bible Church, 590 Jackson Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080, the Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043, or a charity of your choice.
