Obituary for Charles H Thompson

Charles H. Thompson (Timmy) age 70 passed away peacefully at home on
November 29, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born
in Woodbury, NJ and was a life long resident of Gibbstown, NJ. He was
predeceased by his parents Charles E. and Irene Thompson both of
Gibbstown. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Nancy C. (nee
Liddle). he is also survived by his daughter Debra Valladares of
Miami, FL and his son Timothy of Gibbstown. A sister Charlene(Dan)
Trainor, along with 5 grandchildren and many loving nieces and
nephews. He was a member of the Heavy and General Laborers Union Local
172, retiring in 2001 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, and most recently enjoyed the game of golf. Since his
retirement he enjoyed spending the winters on the Outer Banks of NC
and Florida. His summers were spent at Pierces Point Cape May Court
House NJ. Family and Friends are invited to visit Wednesday December 3rd from
9:00 - 11:00am at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am. Interment to follow at
Richwood Methodist Cemetery. Donations can be made to
Holy Redeemer Hospice 160 E. Ninth Ave. Suite B Runnemede, NJ 08078.
